"Kaming nakapasok ng Dualtech ay nanggaling sa mahirap na pamilya. Pagsasaka lang po ang trabaho namin kahit wala kaming sariling lupa.    

Pumunta ako ng Manila para mag-aral sa ibang school. Swerte ako na sarado na yung school kaya yung kapitbahay ng ate ko ang nagsabi na sa Dualtech na daw ako mag aral. 

Bagong lipat lang ang Dualtech nung time namin sa Pasay. Nagkaklase kami sa ilalim ng puno. Pinadala ako sa isang kumpanya at swerte naman dahil napakaganda ng training program. Meron silang school training for 3 months tsaka nila papadala sa production. Napunta ako sa pinakabulok na department. Noong una inisip ko, napaka malas ko kasi dito ako sa bulok na department. Bulok ang mga makina. Hindi ko alam yun palang bulok, nandoon pala ang ginto.  

Reflections on the Year of the Clergy and Consecrated Persons

 “Jesus told his disciples another parable, “The kingdom of heaven can be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field....”  (Mathew 13:24-30)

Dualtech had sown good seeds that after 35 years of existence the school produced good workers, good company supervisors, good managers and good entrepreneurs who in their own right have made considerable impact in the workplace and at the industries where they settled down.  Every time our alumni gather for the alumni homecoming, it is evident in their faces how their lives have evolved, survived and grew from the day to day grind.

Thirty five years after Dualtech was founded and thirty years since the first graduates of Dualtech’s two-year Electromechanics course completed their studies, the Dualtech alumni association organized a summit of entrepreneurs among its members who are engaged in technology-based services.

There were 14 exhibitors (all Dualtech graduates turned business owners) who came; about 10 other business owners attended (although they did not present), another 10 managers (also alumni) of various companies and roughly 20 graduates (who plan to put up their own business in the future) all went the rounds of various displayed technologies.

To encourage more students to consider technical vocational career, TESDA featured two Dualtech graduates who shared their humble stories and professional success. TESDA will use their narratives in promotional materials.

On April 07, a hundred graduates were conferred with their diploma in the 2-Year Electromechanics Technology. On this occasion, AMS Asia Managing Director, Mr. Cyrus Mehr, was glad to see their sponsored graduates. One of them, Mr. Thuper Lapitan, spoke on behalf of the graduates having made it to the top of his class.

The partnership of Dualtech and AMS Asia started in 2016 when the company hosted the in-plant training of 6 trainees as its first batch. After 18 months, these trainees successfully completed the program and joined the graduating batch.

Lagi nating tandaan na hindi lahat ng pag kakataon ay magugustuhan natin ang trabaho o gawaing ibibigay sa atin. Hindi lahat ng bagay ay naka-ayon sa kagustuhan natin. Matuto tayong mag tiyaga at mahalin ang ating ginagawa, hindi tayo bibigyan ng Panginoon ng problema o gawain na di natin kayang lampasan at higit sa lahat aim higher, wag natin bigyan ng limitasyon ang ating mga sarili. Lagi natin isipin na kaya nating mas higitan pa kung anu man ang meron tayo ngayon. Dadating at dadating ang panahon na makakaramdam tayo ng kagustuhang sumuko,  ngunit lagi nating tandaan na nandyan ang Panginoon upang mahingian natin ng lakas upang mag patuloy sa laban ng buhay. -- DARWIN HERILLA | Awardee, Merit, Outstanding In-school and In-Plant, and Learning Excellence | Trained and employed at Nexperia Philippines
