Of Sowers, Seeds, Weeds and Wheat...
Reflections on the Year of the Clergy and Consecrated Persons
“Jesus told his disciples another parable, “The kingdom of heaven can be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field....” (Mathew 13:24-30)
Dualtech had sown good seeds that after 35 years of existence the school produced good workers, good company supervisors, good managers and good entrepreneurs who in their own right have made considerable impact in the workplace and at the industries where they settled down. Every time our alumni gather for the alumni homecoming, it is evident in their faces how their lives have evolved, survived and grew from the day to day grind.

To encourage more students to consider technical vocational career, TESDA featured two Dualtech graduates who shared their humble stories and professional success. TESDA will use their narratives in promotional materials.
Ms. Georgina Hernandez-Yang, Former Head of Advocacy and Anti-Poverty Programs and Spokesperson of the Office of the Vice-President Philippines (OVP) represented the Vice President Leni Robredo during the first Commencement Exercises of Dualtech Center held at Dualtech Center in January 2018.
The Department of Education requires each Grade 12 student to attend 80 hours of company and workshop program as partial requirement in fulfilling their senior high school. This may be compared to on the job training or in-plant training. The students and the school do not have the time and resources to look for companies where these students can train. Dualtech was requested by some schools to provide such opportunity.
A team from Dualtech Center in coordination with Dr. Marcelo O. Roco, Dep-Ed Davao City Division Office, conducted orientation to 17 high school principals and teachers. Majority of the participants came from the outskirts of Davao. Some schools are located at the foot of Mt. Apo. Another school takes 2 hours through a banana plantation. Another school required the team to leave the hotel at 4:30 in the morning to reach it before noon.
