The Department of Education requires each Grade 12 student to attend 80 hours of company and workshop program as partial requirement in fulfilling their senior high school. This may be compared to on the job training or in-plant training. The students and the school do not have the time and resources to look for companies where these students can train. Dualtech was requested by some schools to provide such opportunity.
Dualtech students helped care for the Aged in Calamba City
Dualtech students assisted Bahay ni Maria in Brgy. Sampiruhan, Calamba Laguna in August 2016. This home for the aged is managed by the Missionary of Sisters of Our Lady of Fatima for the abandoned elderly and children with special needs.
Edukasyon ang tanging sandata upang malabanan natin ang kahirapan, mga habilin ng isang ina na puno ng pagmamahal at pangarap sa kanyang anak. Ito ang naging baon ko sa pagpasok sa DUALTECH. Malaki ang kaibahan ng Dualtech sa paaralan na pinasukan ko noong highschool, sa Dualtech itinuturo kung paano naisasabuhay ang magagandang katangian o “virtues” at tinutulungan ang mga mag-aaral na magpasya ng angkop na solusyon sa mga suliranin sa buhay man o sa hanap-buhay. -- MARK L. “Because it’s there”, is the reply of mountain climbers when asked “Why do you climb mountains?” A mountain not conquered is an opportunity.
“Because it is there” are the replies of the students from Tacloban, Bohol, and Palawan when asked “Why are you here in Dualtech?” These students could have taken the passive way after the calamities struck their respective provinces. There are students whose houses were crushed by a ship that run aground. These students saw their parents remain strong during a dark moment. These students, who experienced untimely maturation, have a mountain to climb.
“Bukod sa technical course at sure employment na iniaalok ng Dualtech ay itinuturo rin daw nito kung paano ba talaga maging mabuting tao upang maihanda hindi lamang sa trabaho ngunit pati na rin sa aking personal na buhay sa hinaharap. Ang lakas ng dating sa akin noon dahil iyon talaga ang pangarap ko. Ang magkaroon ng maayos, masaya at simpleng buhay.”
