The desire to help comes in quiet moments
Mr. Tong Limcaoco believes that divine providence leads him to philanthropic causes. As a cooperator of Opus Dei, he surrounds his life in prayer and believes in the values that St. Josemaria Escriva teaches.
“It makes me realize the necessity for all to help those in need, most especially by providing the less fortunate with an education or skill for gainful employment,” he shared.
Fourteen days before Christmas, nine Dualtech scholars of Marubeni Foundation, Inc (MSFI) attended its 29th Annual Scholars’ Night. Throughout the years, Marubeni invites its scholars, past and present, together with the Board of Trustees and Officers of MSFI, Marubeni Philippines Corporation and representatives of beneficiary schools in its annual gathering to listen to the testimonies of success and gratitude.
Artesyn Embedded Technologies, one of the world’s largest and most successful power supply companies welcomed Dualtech and its guests for a company tour which highlighted the partnership with Dualtech Center for a decade.
“About 20% of our internal hiring- or source of hiring- comes from Dualtech,” Ms. Lorna Godoy, Human Resource Head shared. “They [trainees] are not only good technically, but they also have the right attitude that they have imbibed the Artesyn culture in a very quick and efficient manner.”
Panasonic awards scholarship to 5 Dualtech trainees as part of its scholarship program in the Philippines marking its 100th anniversary.
Dualtech scholars from Laguna, Ilocos Sur, and Romblon received scholarship during the 2018 Panasonic Scholarship Award Ceremony for Vocational Category held at Panasonic Auditorium, Taytay Rizal. They are among 41 scholars who are selected by Panasonic scholarship committee from various institutions.
Ms. Georgina Hernandez-Yang, Former Head of Advocacy and Anti-Poverty Programs and Spokesperson of the Office of the Vice-President Philippines (OVP) represented the Vice President Leni Robredo during the first Commencement Exercises of Dualtech Center held at Dualtech Center in January 2018.
“Kayo ay simbolo ng inspirasyon at pag-asa sa lahat na nagsusumikap para maabot ang kanilang mga pangarap. Kayo ang patunay na walang imposible para sa taong may sipag at tiyaga”, she said realizing that the two-year training would not be easy which was something that graduates could be proud of.
The Department of Education- City Division Office of Davao visited Dualtech Center last April 26-27 to attend a seminar-workshop and immersion about Dualtech. The first day was dedicated to Work Life Effectiveness Seminar conducted by Mr. Ariel A. Crisostomo. It was a one-day seminar-workshop about life skills and work values. The second day was for exchange of best practices in community relations. Particular attention was given to recruitment of scholars, promotion of Electromechanics Technology, and advocacy to deserving students of Davao City and Mindanao.
