In 2015, Lao Foundation gave educational assistance to 20 Dualtech scholars from Camarines Norte, Abra, and Ilocos Sur. After this batch, LFI added support to 20 scholars from Romblon, Surigao Del Norte, Nueva Vizcaya, Cebu, and Zambales.

Included as beneficiaries of LFI Scholarship grants is the first batch from Surigao City whose families were affected by the recent earthquake in  March 2017. The six scholars were recruited through the help of the coordinators from Saint Paul University.

SM Foundation

sm-fdnAfter the graduation of SM Foundation's first batch from Tacloban City Leyte, another 100 Dualtech scholars were among 1,000 new beneficiaries in technical and vocational (Tech-Voc) education in 2016.

On September 04, 2016, SM Foundation invited partner technical schools on its first Tech-Voc general assembly in SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City. From its usual number of 100 scholars annualy, SM made it to 1,000 in 2016 as they believe that graduates of Tech-Voc get immediate jobs and have bigger opportunity to be uplifted from poverty. SM Group of Companies also sees great demand for skilled manpower in the country and abroad.

Companies hold Job Fair at Dualtech

job-fair-2016Twelve (12) companies held job-fairs at Dualtech Center in Canlubang, Calamba City to fill hundreds of job openings.

The companies that screened and hired graduates were Sasonbi Solar, Beauchem, Gentrade, Genosi, HKR Equipment, Telford SVC Philippines, Asia Brewery, D&L Industries, Portion Fillers, Testech, Aichi Forging of Asia, and Daiwa-Seiko Philippines Corporation. These companies also trained scholars.

GT Foundation

gt-fdnGT Foundation partnered with Dualtech Center for the Scholarship in Technical Vocational Education (STEP) Program.

On September 1, 2016, 25 scholars from Leyte and Bohol who were sponsored by GT Foundation were given Certificate of Recognition after completion of 6-Month Basic Training Program in Electromechanics Technology. These scholars were placed to Dualtech partners for the next phase of training where actual work exposure and advanced skills are to be provided.

Reach Out to Young People

To reach out to less-fortunate young people in other parts of the country, Dualtech Center's Community Relations Office had joint campaigns with several public/private institutions and parishes.

Schools like St. Paul University Surigao (Surigao City, Surigao Del Norte), Aliaga National High School (Aliaga, Nueva Ecija), Co Tek Chun National Trade School (Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur), and the Department of Education – ALS Dept. (Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu) gathered interested male students done in their respective schools to attend Dualtech's orientation.
